Safety

fire extinguisherEmployers who first established safety programs did so because it was an efficient way to approach federal and state regulations. The initial emphasis was on accident prevention. However, companies soon discovered that preventing accidents resulted in a variety of benefits for the company: healthy employees, lower absenteeism, less lost production time, less repair costs, and better insurance ratings for the company. With this in mind, Environmental recognizes that a comprehensive safety program is an important tool in resource management. The goal of our Safety Program is to reduce the likelihood of occurrence and to eliminate the conditions that lend themselves to personal injuries and property damage. The success of this program relies upon a personal commitment from each and every employee, accepting responsibility for the prevention of accidents and fires, and taking steps to eliminate hazardous conditions.

To discharge these responsibilities, an assertive safety program must be continually promoted. Some of the elements of this program include the development of safety consciousness by training through departmental meetings, instruction by Supervisors, scheduled and random inspections to eliminate hazards, correction of unsafe conditions and work practices, enforcement of safety regulations, and complete reporting and analysis of accidents and fires. Environmental also employs a full time Safety Director who has an aggressive approach to safety and inspection. We take pride in ensuring that your workplace is as safe and accident-free as possible.
